Metro State Update:
Metro State had five runners compete at the NCAA Championships. The distance medley relay team of Nate Newland, Anthony Luna, Carl Arnold III and Rick Bogatay took third place in 9:55.67, breaking the school record. Bogatay overcame two opponents on the final lap for the third place finish. Each member of the team earned All-America honors.

DENVER, Colo. - Metro State’s athletic department announced the graduation of 30 current and former student-athletes and the graduation of one assistant coach on Tuesday. Nine of the 30 finished their degrees during the 2009 fall semester, while the remaining 22 graduated during this past Sunday’s ceremony on the Metro State campus.

PUEBLO, Colo. - Metro State had three men and two women score points on Monday in the team's first day of competition at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference track championships in Pueblo, Colo.  In addition, Derek Fiorini qualified for the men's 100 meter and 200 meter finals scheduled for Tuesday.  It was a tough day for all runner due to windy conditions, limiting national qualifying times in the distance events.
