DENVER, Colo. - Metro State’s athletic department announced the graduation of 30 current and former student-athletes and the graduation of one assistant coach on Tuesday. Nine of the 30 finished their degrees during the 2009 fall semester, while the remaining 22 graduated during this past Sunday’s ceremony on the Metro State campus.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Metro State cross country runners Nate Newland, Kery Allen and Danielle Kehoe were all named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic team on Friday.  Newland was one of 152 men's runners across the nation to be named all-academic, while Allen and Kehoe were among 286 women.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Metro State men's cross country and track runner Anthony Luna will be a feature story on CBS Sports' NCAA fall sports showcase, to be aired on the national network at 11:30 a.m. (MDT) on Dec. 26.  The show titled CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA will feature Luna, along with a number of other stories from student-athletes that participated in the NCAA's 10 fall championships.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Metro State is currently ranked fourth nationally following the fall season in the NCAA Division II Learfield Sports Director's Cup standings released on Thursday.  The Roadrunners are tied with Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Colorado Mines with 208.00 points.  Grand Valley State is ranked first with 290.00 points, followed by West Texas A&M and Massachusetts-Lowell.  Some schools will have the opportunity to win additional points as the football season has not been completed.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The No. 14 Metro State men's cross country team finished 14th at the NCAA Championships on Saturday in Evansville, Ind.  It was the second year in a row the Roadrunners finished 14th and the second year the team has reached the NCAA Championships.
