Friday's NCAA Championships Events Postponed Due to Weather

Friday's NCAA Championships events in track and field were postponed until Saturday due to thunderstorms in Charlotte, N.C. There will be no prelims in the 800 meters. Instead, there will be two timed heats for the finals in the 800m, beginning at 7:57 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday. The 1500 meter finals will be at 6:15 p.m.

Bogatay Qualifies for Finals in 1500 Meters

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Metro State's Rick Bogatay qualified for the finals at the NCAA Championships on Thursday in the 1500 meter run. Teammate Carl Arnold III came up two seconds off the final qualifying place.

The Metro State outdoor men’s track team will send four runners to the NCAA Championships on May 27-29 in Charlotte, N.C. Anthony Luna and Shawn Lindbom will run the 800 meters and Carl Arnold III and Rick Bogatay will run the 1500m.

Metro State Ranked No. 23 in Latest USTFCCCA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Metro State men's outdoor track and field team is ranked in the top-25 for the first time during the regular season in school history in the outdoor NCAA Division II United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association top-25 poll released on Monday. The Roadrunners are ranked No. 23. They appeared in the top-25 throughout the indoor season over the winter, but finally made their first appearance in the outdoor poll this week.

Seven Named Academic All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Metro State track teams had seven athletes named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Boulder Running Company All-Academic teams on Wednesday. The women's team had four and the men had three.

Metro State to Send Four to NCAA Championships

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The NCAA announced that four Metro State men's track runners have qualified for the NCAA Championships to be held May 27-29 in Charlotte, N.C. Anthony Luna, Shawn Lindbom, Carl Arnold III and Rick Bogatay will all represent the Roadrunners in two different events.

Metro State Congratulates 32 Graduates

DENVER, Colo. - Metro State’s athletic department announced the graduation of 30 current and former student-athletes and the graduation of one assistant coach on Tuesday. Nine of the 30 finished their degrees during the 2009 fall semester, while the remaining 22 graduated during this past Sunday’s ceremony on the Metro State campus.

Six Named All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Metro State's track teams had six runners earn All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors in seven different events, announced following the conclusion of the RMAC Championships in Pueblo on Tuesday. The men's team earned All-RMAC in six events and the women's team had one All-RMAC representative.
