RMAC Tournament Recap:
Metro State was eliminated from the RMAC Tournament after a pair of extra-inning losses to the top two teams in the RMAC during the regular season. The Roadrunners fell 16-15 to Mesa State in the first round, rallying in the ninth inning with four runs to take a 15-14 lead. But the Mavericks evened the score in the bottom of the ninth and won it in the 10th inning. Jordan Stouffer blasted three home runs, tying the school record and drove in five runs in the game. He also doubled against Mesa State.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Metro State baseball player Tommy Frikken and women's soccer and track athlete Jen Thomas were both named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference scholar-athletes on Monday.  Frikken carries a 3.46 grade point average in behavioral science.  Thomas has a 3.77 GPA in chemistry.

DENVER, Colo. - Metro State’s athletic department announced the graduation of 30 current and former student-athletes and the graduation of one assistant coach on Tuesday. Nine of the 30 finished their degrees during the 2009 fall semester, while the remaining 22 graduated during this past Sunday’s ceremony on the Metro State campus.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Metro State baseball player Jordan Stouffer was named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Tournament team on Sunday after the completion of the championship game.  New Mexico Highlands edged Mesa State in the championship game 8-6 after the Mavericks forced an if necessary game on Sunday.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Metro State rallied with three runs in the top of the eighth to tie the game, but No. 14/7 New Mexico Highlands edged Metro State 4-3 in 10 innings to eliminate the Roadrunners from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday.  Metro State finishes its season with a 21-23 record, while NMHU improved to 37-10.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Both teams took advantage of the wind blowing out to right field as Metro State and Mesa State combined for nine home runs and 31 runs in a 16-15 Mesa State win on Wednesday in Kearney, Neb., in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament.  The Roadrunners dropped to 21-22 overall this season, while the Mavericks improved to 33-16.  Metro State will face the winner of top seed New Mexico Highlands and Regis at 3 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday.
