DENVER, Colo. - The Metro State women's tennis team upset No. 38 Midwestern State on Wednesday 6-3 at home for its first win over a ranked opponent since 2003.  The Roadrunners defeated No. 40 Northwest Missouri State 5-0 while being ranked No. 35 on March 8, 2003.  Wednesday's victory improved the Roadrunners to 5-3 this season, while MSU fell to 6-4.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Metro State softball team moved up one spot to No. 8 in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division II top-25 poll released on Wednesday.  It ties the highest ranking in school history after being ranked No. 8 last year in the March 25 poll.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Metro State had four men's track runners named All-America by the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday, following the conclusion of the indoor national championships on Saturday.  The four members of the distance medley relay team were among 278 NCAA Division II men's and women's track and field members to be named All-America.  Metro State's honorees were Nate Newland, Anthony Luna, Carl Arnold III and Rick Bogatay.

ALAMOSA, Colo. - The No. 9 Metro State softball team crushed Adams State 15-2 on the road on Sunday in game one, improving to a perfect 11-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and 14-1 overall.  It is the best start to the conference season in school history and the best in the RMAC since Mesa State opened 2007 with 13 wins.  With the loss, ASC fell to 3-4 overall and in the RMAC after getting swept in three games this weekend by the Roadrunners.  Game two was canceled due to snow in Alamosa after ASC led 2-1 in the second inning.

MANKATO, Minn. - St. Cloud State hit 8-of-10 free throws over the final three minutes to hold off a late Metro State run, knocking the Roadrunners out of the NCAA Central Region Tournament with an 82-77 win on Saturday. Metro State’s season came to an end after a 24-7 record, while SCSU improved to 26-5 and will face top-seed Minnesota State, Mankato at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
